Bobbi Kristina Brown Life Support: Eyes Open And Close, But Doctors Tell Family Not To ‘Read Into It’

Bobbi Kristina Brown is reportedly on life support in the ICU of a hospital in Georgia, and new details have surfaced about her condition.

According to CNN, Bobbi Kristina’s family was pleased to see that the 21-year-old was opening and closing her eyes from time to time. While this may seem like a positive sign, doctors have told the family not to “read too much into it.” Since being rushed to the hospital after drowning in her bathtub (per the police report), Krissy has shown “minimal brain function.”

Several media outlets have reported the Krissy is brain dead, and that it would be a miracle if she was able to pull through. On Saturday, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was found face down in her bathtub. Police responded to the call, and medical personnel were able to revive Brown, but it’s unknown how long she had been unconscious. Just a few minutes without oxygen getting to the brain can impair its function significantly.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s home was searched by police who say that there weren’t any drugs found. A new report by TMZ claims that police went back to the home for a more thorough investigation, and sources close to the situation say that there were drugs seized. As for why the police didn’t find the drugs the first time, the report says that authorities were just looking for items “out in the open.” When they returned to the home, they dug much deeper, likely going through cabinets and drawers. The police have not confirmed this information just yet.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, sources say that Bobbi Kristina was severely depressed, and that she had been “obsessing” over her mother’s death since it happened on Feb. 11, 2012. There has been some chatter about Krissy constantly talking about how her mother died, and that the bathtub scene was mentioned quite a bit (Whitney was found unconscious in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel nearly three years ago).

Bobbi Kristina Brown is surrounded by her family, but sources say that a very difficult decision is looming. It’s unknown when the family will have to decide what to do about Krissy, or who will make that decision, but it’s definitely not an easy thing to even think about.

Bobby Brown has released a statement requesting privacy for his family, and for his daughter. Further information was not made immediately available by Brown.
