’19 Kids And Counting’ Sneak Peek Features A Sleepover And A Guy Painting Fingernails [Video]
19 Kids and Counting fans can finally check out a sneak peek of the TLC series’ new season, and it looks like viewers will be seeing a lot of Derick Dillard and Jill Duggar.
People recently shared a teaser for an upcoming episode of 19 Kids and Counting, which will air beginning on February 17. The clip shows Jill Duggar and her husband practicing their parenting skills by spending some quality time with Jill’s little sisters, and Derick does his best to prove that he’s going to be a doting dad.
In the sneak peek below, Derick Dillard and Jill Duggar host a sleepover with a few of the younger Duggar daughters. The girls are dressed in their princess’ best, and they enjoy making a mess by dipping treats in a pot of fondue. 19 Kids and Counting fans know that the Duggars are hardcore fans of traditional gender roles, but Jill invites Derick to help her little sisters get beautified. Amazingly, Derick actually manages to get Josie Duggar to sit still while he paints glitter polish on her fingernails.
“It was a lot of fun,” Derick said while talking about the sleepover later. Jill seemed thrilled that her husband was having such a good time with her sisters.
“Derick is doing great,” Jill said. “He’s really good with kids.”
For some reason, Derick is dressed like Gandalf the Grey going to a disco party in the 19 Kids and Counting sneak peek.
Unfortunately, Derick’s newfound nail-painting skills probably won’t come in handy at his own home when Baby Dilly arrives — he and Jill are expecting a boy, and it’s highly unlikely that Jim Bob would approve of a grandson rocking nail polish.
Jill’s pregnancy will obviously be a big storyline on the upcoming season of 19 Kids and Counting, but many fans are hoping to see more of Jana Duggar. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jana’s love life is a very hot topic — she’s been falsely linked to Tim Tebow, and there are rumors that she once went on a few secret “dates” with Bringing Up Bates star Zach Bates.
As of right now, it doesn’t look like the upcoming season of 19 Kids and Counting will feature a Jana Duggar courtship. However, it’s probably a good thing that Jana isn’t seeing anyone — according to the Duggar Family Blog, the main focus of this season will be Jill’s pregnancy and the wedding of Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald. It would be tough for TLC to make room for a courtship storyline with so much going on already.
