Articulated Tripodal UFO And Alien Moon Base In 1971 Apollo 15 Mission Photo
A UFO researcher reported an anomaly in an Apollo 15 mission photo found in the archives of the website of NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC) maintained by the Arizona State University (ASU).
The digital image may be viewed in the LROC’s Apollo Digital Image Archive here. It reveals what Streetcap1 describes as “something strange above the moon.” The reader may locate the anomaly by panning up on the left side of the image above the moon and zooming in.
UFO Sightings Daily’s Scott Waring describes the alleged UFO in greater detail as a “rocket-like craft with a tripod fin end.”
“He [Streetcap1] found a rocket like craft with a tripod fin end hovering not far from the Apollo 15 module. The detail is really good and the craft looks like it has many sections.”
While the alleged UFO could easily be dismissed as a photo glitch, it was sure to catch the attention of tireless UFO hunters due to its intricate close-up features compared with other “glitches” in the image that are mostly formless blobs and splotches.
Close-ups provided by Streetcap1 are shown below. The reader may also view the original image on the LROC’s Apollo Digital Image Archive and make up his mind independently about the significance of the latest UFO sighting in connection with the Apollo 15 mission.
However, going by Waring’s description of the object, we could surmise that the craft has an intricate articulated design suggestive of a highly advanced civilization.
But, of course, a skeptic could dismiss it as an incidental splotch in the image.
Regardless, UFO claims in relation to the Apollo missions of the 1960s and 1970s have a long, complex, and rich history that has helped to establish a firm conviction in the UFO community that NASA’s Apollo missions were monitored closely by an alien civilization apparently concerned about humanity’s first efforts to expand presence into space after two bloody world wars.
Waring also claims a sighting in the same image. Go back to the original image on the LROC website here. It is difficult to miss the prominent spot on the image immediately to the right of an imaginary line drawn through the center of the image of the moon. Zooming in on the image reveals the structure below.
Is this yet another glitch in the photo? Waring doesn’t think so. In his opinion, based on close-up appearance, it is an alien moon base.
“At first a person would assume at first glance that this was a photo glitch of some sort, but it’s not. Look closely at the black base below on the surface of the moon and you will see some eye opening details. First you notice the base curves to the curvature of the ground below it. Second the base lower parts are covered in moon dust, getting greyed as it gets closer to the ground. Those two things give us 100% proof positive that this is on the surface of the moon. You my friends are looking at alien architecture at its best.”
Once again, the reader is free to form an independent opinion about the claims being made by UFO hunters.
But this is not the first time that UFO hunters have claimed sightings in connection with the Apollo 15 mission. In December 2014, UFO hunters reported an unidentified flying object hovering over the lunar horizon and apparently keeping a close watch on the moon landing.
Earlier in August 2013, Streetcap1 reported a “UFO above the lunar landscape” which Scott Waring described as a “massive UFO” that “looks more like the Death Star from Star Wars than a typical disk like UFO we often see.”
“This is a massive orb ship. You can see by its close up that it does have a unique shape. This is no small little orb like we are use to seeing near the ISS or near planes and clouds. This is massive. I estimate this UFO to be 2-3 miles across and is further away that it looks in the photo. This is a lucky find and more terrific evidence that aliens not only exit the universe, but they are here in our own solar system.”
The Apollo 15 mission, which began on July 26, 1971, and ended August 7, was NASA’s ninth manned mission in the Apollo program. It also was the fourth mission to land on the moon. As the first of the “J missions” in which astronauts stayed long the moon, it was a science exploratory mission in which the Lunar Roving Vehicle was used for the first time.
Commander David Scott and Lunar Module Pilot James Irwin spent three days on the moon and over 18 hours performing lunar extra-vehicular activity (EVA), while Command Module Pilot Alfred Worden stayed in orbit using instruments to survey the lunar surface.
