Florida Girl, 12, Pregnant After Alleged Rape By 60-Year-Old Walter Johnson

Florida man, Walter Johnson, 60, was arrested for sexually assaulting and impregnating a 12-year-old girl. A Jacksonville doctor confirmed that the girl was pregnant on New Year’s Eve. Before denying the child rape claims, Walter Johnson threatened to commit suicide.

Walter Johnson allegedly sexually assaulted the Florida 12-year-old girl multiple times before she saw a doctor and was told she was pregnant. Upon learning about the pregnancy, Johnson reportedly called 911 and threatened to kill himself before police officers could detain him.

Johnson has denied the child rape and impregnation charges levied against him. The 12-year-old Florida girl told Jacksonville police officers that Johnson forced her to multiple sex acts on her. Doctors believe that the unidentified 12-year-old girl was impregnated the first week of October. Walter Johnson claims to be been diagnosed with both bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, and added that he has been off his medications.

Relatives of the pregnant 12 year-old girl say they are having a difficult time believing what happened in their home.

A woman, who is reportedly a relative of the child rape victim, told Action News Jax, “She’s nothing but 12 years old, she’s just a baby herself. It’s really hard.”

The family of the victim say they have known Walter Johnson for four decades, and he lived in the same house as the now pregnant 12-year-old girl. The same female relative who spoke with Jacksonville new media said that after the accused child rapist moved out of the home, he helped “watch the girl” in May. During the babysitting period is when it is believed that Johnson sexually molested the girl.

“You never know who you have in your household. He was a good guy. But there is hidden secrets,” the woman added.

A second relative of the pregnant girl said, “If it’s a child out there that’s listening, if anybody touches, please don’t be afraid to tell, tell somebody, tell somebody.”

“We going to love the baby, yeah… cause we a loving family,” the first female relative concluded.

The pregnant 12-year-old girl remains in the custody of her family, and is currently receiving counseling. The Florida Department of Children and Families is investigating the child rape and sexual molestation charges. Walter Johnson is being held on a $1.5 million bond, and has been charged with three counts of sexual battery of a minor.
