Ghost Camera: Idaho School Claims ‘Ghost’ In Cam Proves Building Haunted [Video]

For decades, students and teachers at Pocatello High School have been spooked by a paranormal visitor, and this past Christmas during the winter break, they may have even more reason to be scared out of their wits. According to a report by New York Daily News, a ghost was caught on camera at the Idaho school, and many want answers about the ghoulish sightings in the school’s hallways.

Reportedly, surveillance cameras at Pokey High captured what appears to be a figure walking about in the school’s halls while the building was unoccupied. The ghostly image is seen going in and out of a doorway, perhaps a classroom or other area of the school. And just like a scene from a vintage horror flick, lights began flashing on and off in the empty building as the ghost goes about its business, according to a Q13FoxNews.

Administrators were so spooked by the recent ghost on camera at the Idaho school, they called in the assistance of paranormal investigators to evaluate the footage. Two locals, John and Lisa Brian, analyzed the clips and drew the conclusion that the phantom image was real, not the result of camera trickery, as some claim.

To bolster their opinion, the couple pointed to the school’s infamous history. Over a century, dating back to 1914, the Idaho school mysteriously burned down. Moreover, there have been six deaths there since the school opened. The ghost hunters say this possibly explains why the building is haunted. Lisa Brian, co-founder of Scientific Paranormal Investigative Research Organization, weighs in.

“We have watched it multiple times and even slowed it down and really analyzed it. It’s a really great piece of footage. You can just see the lights going on and off, the police were called because of these issues going on in the building — all of that just goes to show that it wasn’t something someone just put on there, but instead it was something that really happened.”

Others in the area are not so convinced that the image captured on tape is a ghost. One possible explanation that surfaced is that the ghostly figure is merely dirt hanging in front of or displayed on the camera. However, John Brian quickly dismissed the growing theory, and maintains his position that Pocatello High is haunted by ghosts.

“You can see that it’s not necessarily a person, but more so a translucent figure walking down the hall.”

It appears Idaho is known for more than its potatoes, and has other unexplained phenomena under its belt. According to a June 2012 report from Inquisitr, a group of high school students recorded footage of a possible Bigfoot sighting.

Supposedly, the students, who requested to remain unidentified, were working on a school project near the west fork of Mink Creek when they saw a figure that resembled Sasquatch staring at them from a distance. Although this story is not linked to the ghost seen on camera at the Idaho school, they do share a common link: both took place in the Pocatello area.
