‘Sex And The City’ Returning To HBO? Former Star Speaks Out

Could the Sex and The City gals be headed back to our TV screens? Buzz has been circulating with shows such as Girl Meets World hitting the airwaves and a reported Full House spin off coming that Carrie Bradshaw and company may be returning as well.

Former Sex and The City star John Corbett is speaking out about how he wants the show to return to HBO, because there are so many more stories to tell with Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha, he told E! News.

“I think there are a lot of stories to tell. There’s a lot of story left to tell with those women and if HBO got it together, I’d like to see the show come back for a couple of seasons like The Comeback. I’d like to see them come back for, you know, eight or 10 episodes a year for a couple of more years.”

Corbett dished on why he thinks it would be a good idea for the show to return to the air, stating that not only are the characters beloved by fans, but that the story of their friendships and loves as they get older could play an important part of revealing how these characters end up.

“We want to see [Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall.] Those girls are amazing actors and there are so many stories to tell even as well age and get older. You know when I started that—I’m almost 54 now—when I got that job I was 39. Time moves along. I want to see those girls as I’m into my 50s. I want to see them into my 60s.”

Even if fans don’t get Sex and The City back on television, there is the possibility that another movie could happen. The series was turned into two feature films after the show was canceled, and fans loved seeing the girls back in action.

Sarah Jessica Parker, who played lead character Carrie Bradshaw, says she would love to do another film because she agrees that there is more story to still tell, according to Hollywood Life.

“I know there is a story. Whether we tell it remains to be seen…the answer remains unclear at this time.”

Fans would love to see another Sex and The City movie or watch the girls come back for a reunion season, if the story was told right. However, as previously reported by the Inquisitr, “Mrs. Big” actor Chris Noth isn’t interested in doing another film.
