Did Beyonce And Jay-Z Buy Blue Ivy An Island For Her Birthday?
Blue Ivy Carter reportedly received a gift of all gifts for her birthday on Wednesday – her very own island. Media Takeout claims that singer Beyoncé and Jay-Z decided to invest in an island located off the coast of Thailand as a present for their daughter’s third birthday.
An inside source reportedly opened up to Media Takeout with the details about why Blue Ivy’s parents decided to go through with the purchase.
“[Blue Ivy] fell in love with Thailand, and so did [Jay-Z and Beyonce]. They thought it was a good investment, and a good [place] to create a new family home.”
According to the report, Blue Ivy’s newly purchased island is listed as “Phuket Island.”
Media Takeout also posted the description of Phuket (pronounced “pu-kay”) Island that is published on the Private Islands Online website, which also lists the island’s sales price.
“Located just offshore near Krabi, Thailand, this beautiful island off the coast of Phuket is available at an equally attractive cost of 7.96 million US.”
“Boasting a gorgeous mountain view, this is a perfect spot for the development of a five-star hotel and features a 120 meter beach front with 40 Rai of amazing, palm tree-dotted expanses. Caressed by the warm trade winds of the Indian Ocean, you’re connected to the amenities of life with electric power and water supply readily available. An ancient mansion is on the property, just waiting to be lovingly restored.”
According to Private Islands Online, Phuket Island has 14 acres of land.
As of right now, neither Beyonce or Jay-Z have come forward and confirmed whether or not they purchased Phuket Island. However, with a combined net worth of over $1 billion, paying a little more than $7 million for an island does not seem very far-fetched for them.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey nearly two years ago, Beyonce opened up about she felt about Blue Ivy. To say that Beyonce has been successful in recent years is arguably a major understatement. However, the former Destiny’s Child singer viewed her daughter as her biggest success.
“It’s what I’m most proud of and it just made everything make sense to me. I couldn’t imagine my life if I did not have my daughter.”
