Al Sharpton Exposed: Civil Rights Activist Allegedly Took Hush Money From Corporations Not To Cry Racism

Al Sharpton is in hot water yet again. It’s no secret Sharpton’s organization, National Action Network (NAN), is funded by various corporations. But, many may not be aware of why corporations contribute. According to the New York Post , Sharpton reportedly receives “hush money” to silence the ongoing cries of racism. Since he’s notorious for making appearances during heightened times of racial controversy and injustice, many corporations have reportedly paid him to use his influence in the black community to silence the racism claims.

Corporations who desire to look favorable among the African-Amercian community reportedly contact Sharpton to “polish their image” in an effort not to appear racist. Several media outlets have also reportedly that NAN is just a way for Sharpton to extort money from corporations. Once the funds start rolling in, he reportedly continues to ask for more and more money to keep the façade going. In a nutshell, Sharpton has been accused of being a “race-pimp,” using civil rights activism and his organization as a gimmick and “cover-up” for extortion . Although there are currently no specified reports on the amount of money he’s reportedly made, news outlets are reporting that his profits are staggering.

The claims are reportedly part of an ongoing investigation conducted by the National Legal & Policy Center (NLPC). For those who missed it, these are the same government watchdogs who reportedly blasted Walmart for its years of funding and support of NAN. As previously reported on Inquisitr , the organization asked the massive retailer to stop funding Sharpton’s organization.

Ken Boehm, chairman of the NLPC, recently weighed in with details about the shocking allegations.

“Al Sharpton has enriched himself and NAN for years by threatening companies with bad publicity if they didn’t come to terms with him. Put simply, Sharpton specializes in shakedowns,” Boehm said.

An unnamed source who reportedly worked with Sharpton also shared his perspective of the allegations and surprisingly, he agreed with the Virginia-based government watchdog organization.

“Once Sharpton’s on board, he plays the race card all the way through,” the source said. “He just keeps asking for more and more money.”
