Lionel Messi’s future is at Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.
Over the last few months, the Argentinian forward has been linked with a startling move away from the Nou Camp. But the front page of Mundo Deportivo (via 101 Great Goals ) reported on Saturday morning that Messi won’t actually be moving anywhere.
The front page of the publication ran the headline, “Leo Messi has a total commitment to the club.” It’s now believed that Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester City, three clubs who were known to be interested in the player, are now well aware that Lionel Messi wants to stay at Barcelona.
In fact, this revelation has scuppered Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea’s secret bids for Lionel Messi, which is why they have now had to shelve them.
It has also been alleged that Barcelona rejected a huge bid from Paris Saint Germain for Lionel Messi last season. However, before Barcelona could even consider accepting the offer, Messi and his representatives immediately turned it down.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are also known to be very keen on purchasing Messi. Even though they are well aware that Messi wants to stay at Barcelona, Chelsea have been talking to their midfielder, Cesc Fabregas and his girlfriend, Daniella Semaan, about trying to convince Messi to move to West London.
However, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is adamant that Chelsea have “no chance” of purchasing Lionel Messi from Barcelona. He made this confirmation during an interview with BT Sport Football , via Bleacher Report .

This update adds more credence to the popular opinion that Lionel Messi is unlikely to ever leave Barcelona.
As the Inquisitr has previously reported, Lionel Messi actually started the rumors that he would leave Barcelona at some point in the near future himself. He explained that his future wasn’t set in stone, and he wouldn’t deny that his future actually lay away from the Nou Camp.
“Football takes many turns… While I always said that I would always stay there, sometimes not everything happens the way you want. I’ve said it many times: if I had my way I would stay forever. But as I just said, it’s not always given that you get everything you like. More so in football, which is constantly changing and so many things happen. It’s complicated.”
