‘Sleepy Hollow’ Season 2 Spoilers: An ‘Epic Climax,’ Karaoke, New Characters And More
It’s been too long since there’s been a new episode of Sleepy Hollow — and this is only a midseason break of a few weeks — but there are plenty of new spoilers out to get you excited about what to expect when the show does return soon.
First up, according to TVLine, showrunner Mark Goffman has teased that the rest of Sleepy Hollow Season 2 includes a “twist,” the Witnesses’ “relationship in a position we’ve never seen before” and an “epic climax” that will have “ramifications for Season 3.” (That is, of course, if there is a Season 3, but it may be too early to speculate about the future.)
Also, as has been revealed previously, Ichabod is going to be discovering karaoke and that episode (14) is going to feature two scenes with “at least one Witness taking the stage.” Episode 14, “Kali Yuga,” is going to also feature a vetala, a ghostly being from Hindu lore, and TVLine has revealed that Defiance‘s Jaime Murray will be playing the “corpse-inhabiting evil spirit.”
TVLine has also reported that there are a couple of other new characters coming, including the “charismatic and intelligent” Thomas Jefferson and Calvin, a Navy SEAL-turned-photojournalist who could be a new love interest for Abbie. Calvin is “a hometown boy who believes he has a moral obligation to report the truth, no matter what.” His only family is reportedly his younger brother, Daniel. Goffman announced on Twitter that White Collar‘s Sharif Atkins will be playing the “rugged, award-winning photojournalist, [who] grew up in Sleepy Hollow.”

Another new character coming up is a rebellious angel, who is the focus of one of the new previews, and you can watch that video below to see Nicole Beharie discuss him and why Abbie feels connected to him.
One of the big questions for the rest of this season is whether or not Henry can be trusted. Co-executive producer Albert Kim has told TV Guide that it’s not going to be so easy to figure out his intentions and where he’s going.
“He has to determine what his path is. And that will put him back in conflict with our heroes … Did he really tap into his humanity or is it something more selfish? As we get into the later part of the season, we find out that Henry, like a lot of our characters, has a lot of facets.”
Watch the video below to see the cast discuss Henry killing Moloch and what that means for the world “in limbo” moving forward.
Finally, for those looking forward to what’s coming up right when Sleepy Hollow returns, TVOvermind has posted the photos for the first two episodes back, 12 and 13. They show Ichabod and Katrina having a date night after their marriage stood on shaky ground in the fall finale, as well as Michelle Trachtenberg as Abigail Adams.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Sleepy Hollow Season 2 returns January 5 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
