WWE News: Four Huge Names Rumored For January 19 Episode Of ‘Monday Night Raw’
Monday Night Raw brought back an unfamiliar face to the WWE Universe two nights ago. Brock Lesnar, the WWE World Heavyweight champion, eliminated a three-month hiatus from WWE TV and came back in an emphatic way. He stormed the ring to come to the aid of Paul Heyman. He and Chris Jericho were scheduled to face off in a Street Fight at the 10 o’clock hour of Raw.
Lesnar proved why he’s a destructive force by blocking Jericho’s “Codebreaker” and finishing him off with a vicious “F-5,” thus encapsulating Lesnar’s dominance. Later that night, Lesnar came out to the ring near the end John Cena’s match with Seth Rollins. Since Cena is the number one contender, Lesnar made sure that WWE’s future won the match.
Rollins did win and shook the hand of Heyman afterwards. WWE is running into a problem that simply cannot be ignored. Their ratings were the worst since 2012. That should tell the WWE something, and it should be telling them in a big way. In a day where ratings dominate, continuous patterns of negativity won’t impress the big bosses at the USA Network. WWE does have a trick up their sleeve for 2015. SeScoops is reporting that four gigantic names are being rumored for the January 19 episode of Monday Night Raw.
“The website of the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas is advertising a huge reunion show for the January 19th episode of WWE RAW.”
“The the “RAW Reunion” show will feature nWo originals Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, along with WWE Hall of Famer (and one time nWo member) Shawn Michaels.”
This should excite every WWE fan in the world because those four men can bring in ratings that many wish they could. Their worldwide popularity still resonates with wrestling fans everywhere. Earlier this year, the nWo did come back to Raw for Hulk Hogan’s birthday celebration. Lesnar crashed that party, and gave the WWE Universe a “line of the century.”
When the nWo’s music hit, the crowd became elated in what was arguably the biggest pop of 2014. WWE must capitalize on this opportunity, because more often than not, surprise guests don’t have as much impact as they should. For example, the nWo’s return at Hogan’s birthday played perfectly to the strength of the heel-Lesnar. He wanted to beat all of them up, which created even more heat for the Beast Incarnate.
Young superstars will most likely get involved with the nWo’s second reunion in six months in 2015. As far as WWE Creative goes, that is the Raw before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. John Cena is scheduled to face Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight championship on Sunday, January 25. Roman Reigns is rumored to be winning the Royal Rumble match. Will there be parallels drawn with the nWo reunion?
