Rosie O’Donnell Sheds Light On New Bill Cosby Accuser, New Alleged Victim Is Number 26
Rosie O’Donnell just added fuel to the Bill Cosby rape allegation fire. Apparently, another woman is now accusing the legendary comedienne of rape. Now, there are at least 26 different victims.
On Monday, December 8, she shared details about the latest allegations from the new accuser on The View. The 52-year-old comedienne-actress revealed she received a “private message” from an alleged victim who reached out to her personally. Unlike many of the previous accusers, this woman, who reportedly desires to remain nameless, has no aspirations for public attention or financial gain, reports the Wrap. So there’s reportedly no hidden agenda or ulterior motive behind this woman’s allegations.
Here’s the dialogue of Rosie and Whoopi Goldberg’s conversation about the Cosby rape allegations.
“I got a private message from one of the Bill Cosby accusers,” Rosie said. “Twenty-six women now have accused Bill Cosby. One of them wrote me privately. She is an older woman in her 70s and she lives in the Southwest and she has never been on camera and she was saying she knows at least one is true. Her. And she has sought no financial gain and wants no attention. So it’s interesting that people who do come forward are sometimes seen as people having an alternate agenda.”
Although Whoopi has expressed her skepticism over the claims since there is currently no evidence to back the allegations, she did express how imperative it is to uncover the truth for the sake of both parties. However, uncovering the truth may be quite difficult considering how long most of the women have waited to come forward.
“Well, sometimes they are,” Whoopi replied. “We owe it to everybody who says this happened to them to go in and find out what’s going on. But if you wait 30 years, it’s going to be harder. It’s just going to be harder.”
