‘Family Guy’ Tries To Get Jesus Laid In Christmas Episode ‘The 2,000-Year-Old Virgin’ [Video]
Family Guy is celebrating the holidays the only way it knows how: by attempting to cause controversy.
According to TV Equals, the fall finale of the Fox animated series is going to be Christmas-themed, and it will feature the return of Jesus Christ.
The Christ character has appeared in a few episodes of Family Guy. Stewie once imagined watching a naked J.C. bathing himself, Jesus starred in an action movie titled The Passion of the Christ 2: Crucify This, and Christ worked at a record store in “I Dream of Jesus.” In that episode, he hung out with Paris Hilton. However, he and the socialite didn’t make a sex tape — tonight on Family Guy it will be revealed that Jesus has never gotten laid.
The plot synopsis for “The 2000-Year-Old Virgin” reveals how Peter and his pals will try to make this Christmas one that Jesus will never forget.
“After running into Jesus at the Quahog Mall, Peter is stunned to discover that the Son of God is still a virgin. So, he enlists Quagmire and Cleveland to help him throw Jesus the best birthday ever by finding a way to help him become a man.”
There’s no doubt that tonight’s episode of Family Guy is going to offend a few people, but Family Guy thrives on being offensive — it’s crossover with The Simpsons caused controversy before it even aired because it included a rape joke.
Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is also openly atheist, so he has no qualms about poking fun at religious figures like Jesus. However, Standards and Practices does. During an interview with Crave Online, MacFarlane was asked what kind of jokes are cut from Family Guy most often.
“Usually it is religion based. Usually if there is a joke that has to do with Jesus or somehow pokes fun at Christianity or Judaism or Islam or what not, usually that’s a problem for them.”
During an interview with Esquire, Seth MacFarlane explained why he’s so vocal about his atheism, and why he thinks that it’s so important for his show to keep making religion the butt of so many jokes.
“It’s like the civil-rights movement. There have to be people who are vocal about the advancement of knowledge over faith.”

In a second teaser clip, Peter finds the perfect woman to have a one-night stand with Jesus, but she’s not sold on the idea.
Do you think religious viewers will be upset by the Family Guy Christmas episode after it airs tonight on Fox?
