Well, that worked, didn’t it ? A week and a half after an online petition begged the E! channel to halt all Kardashian programming, guess what’s happened? Yep, a new series of Kourtney & Kim Take NYC got aired. On the E! channel. Yay, humanity! Wheee!
The latest season debuted last night, and chronicles Kim’s whirlwind marriage to (and divorce from) Kris Humphries. And do you know how many people will watch it? No, nor do I. But sadly, it’ll be a lot more than the 174,000 that ended signing that admirable (but futile) anti-Kardashian petition.
The series is to consist of eight one-hour episodes and two half-hour episodes, and tracks Kim and Kris as they head east to join Kourtney and her boyfriend Scott Disick in New York . Apparently, it’ll also show how the cracks began to appear in the pair’s 72-day marriage.
Highlights of this unmissable slice of TV art included Kris and Kim bleating at each other over the size of their first house, and Kris Humphries telling Kardashian (with delightful, pitch-perfect prescience): “You’re my wife. It’s going to take a lot to get rid of me.” Heh.
The show follows on the heels of other Kardashian vehicles such as Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Khloé & Lamar . There’s more of it to endure next Sunday at 10pm on, haha, E!. AND NO AMOUNT OF PETITIONS WILL STOP THIS.
