DEA Closes Down Old Man’s Business Because Of Meth Dealers
88-year-old investor Bob Wallace is claiming that the DEA has ruined his business because they feared that his product was being used by meth-makers.
Wallace’s “Polar Pure” water bottles which are used to purify water for hikers and in cases of natural disaster were pulled after the DEA says meth makers were taking advantage of the products iodine crystals chemical compound to make their drugs.
According to the San Jose Mercury News after his company was targeted by the DEA Mr. Wallace wasn’t able to obtain the necessary state permit to operate his business and his distributor has begun refusing to sell him iodine after a talk with the DEA.
What makes the story interesting however is the hilarious remarks left by the old investor, for example he says:
“This old couple, barely surviving old farts, and we’re supposed to be meth dealers? This is just plain stupid. These are the same knotheads that make you take your shoes off in the airport.”
But wait it gets even better! When asked to provide proof of his facilities security system Mr. Wallace sent the DEA a photo of his old dog Buddy.
Even the DEA appears to agree that taking away his permits might be a mistake, an agency spokesperson recently revealed that he may be “collateral damage,” it’s the fault of meth dealers and not the DEA.
Do you think the DEA was acting irrationally by cutting off the investors supply of iodine? It all seems a little bit silly to me.
