WWE News: Big Update On Daniel Bryan’s WWE Status, No Future Plans In Place?
Daniel Bryan is one of the most-popular WWE superstars in the last 10 years. Not many can emulate the charisma and passion he has for the craft he perfected over the years of his career. Most often, a superstar like this comes once every generation. Bryan is a unique figure in the professional wrestling circuit, so much so that he’s nearly irreplaceable. John Cena may win all of the championships, but Bryan has an abundance of passion that any wrestler should strive to attain.
Since May, Bryan has dealt with multiples injuries that nearly ended his career. Luckily, that doesn’t seem like an issue because Bryan is adamant on returning to the WWE Universe as soon as he can. Just recently, Bryan talked about WrestleMania 31 and the odds of him wrestling at the event that solidified his legacy.
While WrestleMania is a possibility, the Royal Rumble doesn’t seem realistic. Bryan does deserve his shot at the Royal Rumble, because last year’s bust took place. He never got his shot. Due to the injury, it may take another year to make that a reality. To make matters even worse, Wrestling Inc. is reporting that WWE Creative isn’t even planning on writing in a return for Bryan, let alone pondering the chance of a return.
“WWE has reduced the price of Daniel Bryan merchandise at live events by 60% to help clear it out. This could be another indication that Bryan isn’t expected back any time soon but they are also doing the same with Rey Mysterio, who is expected back, and Zack Ryder, who will be back in six months.”
“While Bryan is still featured on WrestleMania 31 promotional material, there is still no internal timetable for his return and there are no plans for him in the WrestleMania season storylines. WWE’s writers have been told not to figure Bryan into any programs until further notice.”
The price of his merchandise going significantly down isn’t something to fear. Any superstar goes through sales on WWEShop.com. It’s nothing personal to the WWE superstar, but that’s the reality of things. WWE might’ve dropped them to not let people forget about Bryan. That sounds insane, but when someone goes out for injury, they tend to be an afterthought.
Due to the ongoing perfection of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, is Roman Reigns even missed at this point? That’s another article for another day, but the question is still out there. Personally, I haven’t missed Reigns in the slightest. Ambrose and Rollins are the future of the company and they’ve proven that fact time and time again.
One thing that needs to happen is for Daniel Bryan to return and jumpstart the WWE once again. They are thriving behind the young talent, but Cena can’t control the veteran leadership all by himself. Plus, Bryan returning will put a chip on the others’ shoulder to keep up their momentum. It will be the late-90’s all over again. That’s a good thing.
