Mitt Romney “Lies” And Says His First Name Is Mitt [Video]
In an amusing moment at tonight’s GOP debate that showcases the absurdity of what people pay attention to during political debates Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney playing off a joke from Wolf Blitzer said of his name, “I’m Mitt Romney, and yes, Wolf, that’s also my first name.”
The funny part? That’s actually not “also” his first name, in fact Mitt’s first name is Willard as in Willard Mitt Romney.
Obviously Mitt was making a reference to the fact that he goes by the name Mitt and not Willard (I can’t blame him). However immediately following the “flub?” the president of the AFL-CIO released the following statement:
“Mitt Romney lies about unions, Obama, and…his first name.”
The comment comes after another GOP candidate made a flub of their own when Herman Cain referred to Wolf Blitzer as “Blitz” only to catch himself moments later, then again Cain has a tendency to catch up with his own thoughts a few moments after the fact.
Joking aside it’s amazing what people will pick up on during a debate.
Here’s the Mitt Romney name flub:

The sad part? More people will be talking about this tomorrow than his answers regarding national security concerns.
Did you catch the flub before it was reported by various media outlets?
