Ellie Goulding Confirms Upcoming Release Of Third Album Set For 2015
British pop beauty, Ellie Goulding, has indeed confirmed that her third album is set to be released in 2015. Word of this came during her show at London Palladium over the weekend when, according to Idolator, Goulding stated, “The only big thing coming up for me now is my third album, which won’t be out until next year. Everything is going into that.” The Royal Variety Performance, where the announcement was made, is a gala that is hosted by none other than the royal family. What excellent company for the exuberant songstress to be in while sharing such welcomed news.
The 27-year-old talent shows no signs of slowing down, and even as she is laying down tracks for her newest album and preparing for its release, she has continued to team up with other A-list vocalists and musicians. Of late Goulding has been featured on Calvin Harris’ newest song, “Outside,” and has recently claimed to be “contributing to Drake’s fourth album,” Ellie told Spin. “We converse!…[Drake] discovered my voice on his last album, he sampled it, and I think he’s become a fan through that.” So a collaboration between the driven and talented young pair is something to expect on the Toronto-born rapper’s upcoming album.
Ellie has also used her vocal talents for an exceptional cause by being a part of the fourth recording of Band Aid 30’s “Do They Know It’s Christmas,” organized by Bob Geldof for the song’s 30th anniversary. This honorary tribute has lyrics that pay respect to all sufferers and over-comers of the Ebola virus. This most recent recording, which premiered yesterday on British X Factor also includes vocals by Ed Sheeran, Chris Martin, Bono, Rita Ora, Sam Smith, Seal, Sinead O’Connor, Olly Murs, Bastille, One Direction and Paloma Faith.
Although the ever-energetic, and entertaining, performances by Ellie are consistent and music is seemingly her forever-focus, we all may be in for a bit of a surprising awakening. Goulding recently confided to Metro that she is a passionate fan of Game of Thrones and if the opportunity arose for her to appear on the hit HBO series, she would not think twice about agreeing to a cameo on the show.
“I would be there if they asked me. I would be right there. It’s such a brilliant story line. The casting is perfect. They are so good at casting. It’s the most important thing. You can have the best script, but not the right cast. It’s perfect.”
Should we be worried that Ms. Goulding may consider a career change? Perhaps not quite yet. For now fans can remain enlivened by the news that there will in fact be a third album released by the accomplished artist in the very near future.
