Einstein The Parrot Matthew McConaughey Impersonation Wows The Internet
Einstein the parrot mimicked the Matthew McConaughey signature “alright, alright, alright” phrase from his Golden Globes speech perfectly. Like millions of woman around the country, the Texas parrot is apparently a big fan of the Interstellar star.
The 17-year-old parrot has been mimicking Matthew McConaughey and his “alright, alright, alright” phrase constantly since the January Golden Globes speech aired. The actor won best actor in a drama for his portrayal of aids victim Ron Woodruff in the Dallas Buyer’s Club.
Einstein the parrot even does his Matthew McConaughey impression with a bit of Texas twang, according to his owner. Einstein the parrot is a Congo African Grey that was hatched on June 15, 1997. He is a native Texan, born in the town of Garland at Joanna’s Next Box.
Excerpt from Einstein the parrot’s website.
“Einstein loves to be in the kitchen! She is allowed to be because she does not chew the wood cabinets, and we have made it bird proof. She even has her own drawer and cabinet that she loves to perch on and play in. She sometimes helps in preparation of food too! Here, she is talking about carrots and how good they are. Then, she says ‘Gotta Cool!’ and does a pretend blow sound! She hops on the counter to help make a salad for dinner. Making salads is a good activity because it encourages her to try new vegetables.”
Einstein the parrot, like many African Greys, tends to growl a “very satanic sounding growl” when upset or unsure about something. The Texas parrot that can do Matthew McConaughey impressions did just that when her loving keepers removed an older kitchen rug to replace it with a new piece of floor covering. Einstein kept growling at the new rug and spot on the floor where the old one used to be until her keepers replaced is with an identical throw rug.
What do you think about Einstein the parrot and her Matthew McConaughey impression? Was it alright, alright, alright, with you?
