Chris Soules Posts First ‘Bachelor’ TV Spot: Ladies Tell Farmer Chris, ‘I’m The One’
Chris Soules has shared the first television spot for his season of The Bachelor which airs in January, and it’s pretty comical. The reality star has been looking for love for several weeks now, and fans simply cannot wait to watch everything unravel on television in the new year. According to Us Weekly, the video starts off pretty normal; it shows the Midwesterner walking through a corn field, but then something changes.
“As Soules walks, voices suddenly fill the air around him — just like in the classic 1989 baseball movie ‘Field of Dreams,’ which starred Kevin Costner as (you guessed it!) an Iowa farmer. The first few phrases are whispered, but as more voices join in, their pitch rises,” Us Weekly reports. “‘If you’re the Bachelor, I’m the one,’ an unseen ‘Bachelor’ hopeful coos, echoing the most famous line from ‘Field of Dreams,’ ‘If you build it, he will come.'”
Chris Soules keeps his cool for the most part, and then flashes his million dollar smile at the end. Many people cannot wait for Soules’ season of The Bachelor to air, as he was a favorite on Andi Dorfman’s season of The Bachelorette. Easily one of the best-looking, well-mannered men in Bachelor history, fans are prepared for some serious cat fights. That much is inevitable.
According to E! News, Soules is really excited to have been given the opportunity to take the helm, and to find love. Since he’s just a small town boy with a big heart, he says that he never expected to be given the chance to find love on the wildly popular ABC show. However, Chris is hopeful that he is going to find “the one,” and that she will be willing to live a life in the country, and watch the farmer ride his tractor day after day.
“I mean, coming from a small town I never really expected to have this opportunity to be on either show let alone to be the lead on ‘The Bachelor,’ so it’s been awesome,” Chris said.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Chris Soules almost didn’t get the gig. It was reportedly between him and Emily Maynard’s ex, Arie Luyendyk, but ultimately Chris was the chosen one. Fans have been crazily obsessed with the Iowa native since he walked out of that limo for the first time, so the new season’s ratings are expected to be huge.
