Cops Hunt Cat Swinger: Appalling Animal Abuse Caught on Tape [Video]

Do you remember the lady that stuffed a cat in a garbage can last year? After the incident the internet led a nationwide man hunt to find the woman who was eventually charged with animal cruelty. Well, the hunt is on again after another appalling act of animal cruelty was caught on tape.

CCTV footage caught a man in Britain spinning his way down the street. A harmless act in itself, but the man is holding a cat by what looks like its tail. The Telegraph reports that the two-year-old cat, Mowgli, was eventually able to escape but was in a “very distressed state.”

Michelle Buchanan, who owns the cat, said:

“He’s not physically injured but he is mentally. Ever since the incident happened, when he eventually came home, he’s never gone back outside. I can’t believe anybody could be so cruel as to harm any sort of animal. It’s just really sad that somebody found pleasure out of doing that.”

Buchanan reportedly lives near a pub in Ramsgate, Kent. The cat was well known in the neighborhood and frequently roamed about outside the pub. A man, probably inebriated, picked up the cat and started spinning it down the street.

RSPCA Inspector Caroline Doe added:

“This was a very violent, nasty attack on a cat. We are hoping that someone will recognise this man and come forward so we can investigate this fully.”
