‘Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ Leak Reveals Zombies, Zombies With Exo-Skeletons
It’s impressive that Sledgehammer Games was able to keep it secret for this long, but the addition of zombies in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare leaked out Thursday. The extent of the undead infestation in the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC futuristic military shooter isn’t quite known yet, but we can guess.
Someone got their hands on a copy of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare early and discovered the section of the game with the zombies in it. Video was uploaded to various sites including YouTube and DailyMotion, but Activision has been busy throwing out take down requests as soon as the videos pop up.
Reddit user Hamad_1q1 was the first to post the video of a cut-scene showing the zombies. These aren’t your normal shambling zombies. They are more like the fast and frantic zombies from Brad Pitt’s World War Z. Additionally, some of them appear to be equipped with the game’s Exo-Skeleton to allow them to jump to even greater heights.
A gameplay clip leading up to the cut-scene leaked as well, which appears to show that is a bonus from the Exo-Survival co-operative mode. Some effort is required to work through multiple rounds before unlocking the Exo-Zombie mode. It’s unclear right now if there is additional zombie content that is unlocked beyond the zombie-filled bonus round.
Naturally, Sledgehammer Games co-founder Glen Schofield was disappointed by the leak.
@CodFlufy nothing I can do about it now. But yeah it sucks. Imagine you’re playing and this comes up- you’d be psyched up, right?

Again, it’s impressive that Sledgehammer and Activision were able to keep this secret for as long as they did. Zombies turned into a major part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops franchise from Treyarch, so their inclusion in Advanced Warfare is definitely a surprise. Schofield was able to keep some humor about him over the leak, however. When one fan suggested that they Sledgehammer handle it like Marvel handled the Avengers: Age of Ultron leak, Schofield had the other founder of the game studio in mind to blame.
@Derrick_163 I blame everything on @MichaelCondrey
