Shailene Woodley Thinks Her Boobs Are Great
Shailene Woodley is not worried about her boobs, so you shouldn’t be either. As a young 22-year-old actress, one would think that Woodley would at least have reservations about doing a nude scene but, refreshingly enough, Shailene is prideful in her body.
Woodley showed a bit of skin in her film The Fault in Our Stars, but what’s really getting people talking is her upcoming film White Bird in a Blizzard. In the film, Woodley plays a girl in the middle of a dysfunctional family.
In the film, Shailene has a nude scene, which might keep her The Fault in Our Stars fans away from the theater, but Woodley is proud of showing her bare chest off. In an interview Woodley explained how she felt, which has now been the main conversation piece around her presence in the film.
“It’s crazy. And sort of wrong. But I felt great doing it. I was not fully robed. And our bodies had no makeup. Who needs makeup? I’m only 22. My boobs are great. They don’t need any help.”
Still, any 22-year-old would have at least some reservations about her parents seeing the nude scene, right? Well, think again — because Shailene is clearly comfortable.
“My parents saw the film. I thought it might be awkward, but they both loved it.”
Speaking to how the film pushes boundaries, Woodley mentioned that she has views that spark a more European flare inside of her.
“Maybe I’m more European at heart than American, but sexuality in America is considered so taboo and it’s so not talked about and yet it’s so relevant in our lives. I don’t understand it: little kids know more about guns than they do about their own bodies.”
To promote the film, they put a snippet of the scene in the promos and, according to Shailene, it wasn’t a big deal like she expected it to be.
“When they showed it I was expecting the audience to react, but they were like, ‘Whatever. It’s just boobs.'”
Something that the actress isn’t too lax on? Supporting other women. In an industry that has a habit of pitting actresses against each other, Woodley knows about the significance of supporting women.
“It’s such cruelty and competition out there. Women must help other women. Not say those ugly things about the others just out of their insecurity. I don’t believe in that.”
Looks like Shailene has a great head on her shoulders.
