Cindy McCain’s Dancing with the Stars Dreams Dashed

Cindy McCain expressed interest in performing on Dancing with the Stars, Page Six reports, but Sen. John McCain “put the kibosh on it” this week, a source said. How could he ruin the fun, especially after appearing on SNL himself? Having Cindy on the show would be awesome, and frankly I’m surprised she wanted to do it. It sounds like Page Six is equally as disappointed, as is LAT‘s entertainment blogger Elizabeth Snead.

The source, called “impeccably placed” by the gossip rag, claimed that “Just before Thanksgiving, Cindy McCain (above) started talks with producers to appear as a dancer on the show. She wanted to do it very badly.”

Neither DWTS‘ reps nor McCain’s reponded to queries from the press.
