Bethenny Frankel’s Mother Says She Has Given Up On Her Daughter

Bethenny Frankel has never hid the fact that she doesn’t have a good relationship with her mother, and on The Real Housewives of New York, Frankel often said that she didn’t want to spend time with her. During an episode of Bethenny Ever After, Frankel learned that her mother, Bernadette Birk, had gone to the tabloids and claimed that she had invented the famous Skinnygirl cocktail, and that Bethenny had merely stolen the recipe as her own. She also went after Bethenny’s marriage, saying that Jason would end up divorcing her.

Bethenny Frankel is currently battling it out in court, trying to save her business from being taken away by her estranged husband, Jason Hoppy. The two have been in a lengthy divorce, which continues to rage on. Bethenny was recently slammed by the judge after sporting her child’s clothes in an Instagram picture, according to The Inquisitr. Now Frankel’s mother is speaking to the tabloids again about her daughter, saying that she had tried everything to make the relationship work.

According to a new Radar Online report, Bethenny Frankel may not have any interest in working things out with her own mother, as Bernadette has sold stories to the tabloids about her. It is possible that her mother hasn’t even met little Bryn.

Frankel’s mother is confident that the two will never speak to one another again. She has decided to cut ties after not speaking to Bethenny for almost 10 years. Bethenny Frankel didn’t bring her mother onto The Real Housewives of New York, but she did talk about her mother in her biography, A Place of Yes. In this book, Frankel writes that her childhood was torn apart by “eating disorders, alcoholism, mental illness and violence.”

“Bethenny spread vicious and horrible lies about me simply for publicity,” Birk revealed, adding, “I gave her the benefit of the doubt, and I always left the door open for her, but she destroyed it and now that door is shut forever!”

But Bethenny Frankel has previously shut the door, even though her mother has tried to make an effort to build a relationship. But now that she has been rejected, it sounds like Birk is just hurling everything at her daughter to see what sticks.

“She is so vain, and loves herself so much, that if she even got so much as a scratch she would run and get plastic surgery,” Frankel’s mother said about Bethenny.

Perhaps Bethenny Frankel’s mother is speaking out now because she knows that Frankel is being considered for the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New York. Using her daughter’s fame, this could be a way for Birk to make some extra money by selling stories about her daughter.
