Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: EJ DiMera Recast With Y&R’s Michael Muhney?

Days of Our Lives fans watched in shock as fan favorite James Scott’s character, EJ DiMera, was shot dead last week, and now rumors are running wild about what may happen on the NBC soap.

Former The Young and The Restless star Michael Muhney may be in line for the role of EJ DiMera if Days of Our Lives chooses to recast the character.

Michael Muhney played character Adam Newman on The Young and The Restless but was controversially fired for allegedly groping his co-stars. The character of Adam Newman has since been recast with Justin Hartley, who previously starred as Fox on Passions.

Could Michael Muhney be able to fill the shoes of Days of Our Lives powerhouse James Scott/EJ DiMera? Fans aren’t so sure that the soap should recast the character.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that Days of Our Lives super-villain, Stefano DiMera, stole his son EJ’s body without his wife Sami Brady knowing, and obviously has some wicked plans for EJ, but what?

Days of Our Lives has recast huge characters in the past, and some have worked, while others the fans had a hard time accepting. It’s really a toss-up. However, one advantage of Michael Muhney’s possible role on Days could be that some The Young and The Restless fans could tune into the show, which would boost ratings.

If Days of Our Lives were to recast James Scott’s character with Michael Muhney, or anyone else, they may also recast, Alison Sweeney’s Sami Brady, who as previously reported by the Inquisitr, is also set to leave the show.

However, as of now, it doesn’t seem that Days of Our Lives will recast either character, as it seems that they’re setting up for EJ’s death to be a fake, and/or Sami Brady leaving Salem with her children to escape the DiMera family and the bad memories, a plan that Sami’s already mentioned and discussed with her twin brother Eric.

Meanwhile, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, another Days of Our Lives favorite, Peter Reckell, who played Bo Brady was rumored to possibly be making a return to Salem as his wife, Hope files for divorce and begins to fall for handsome lawyer, Aiden Jennings, but those rumors were unfortunately shot down this week; meaning Bo Brady likely won’t return to Days anytime soon.
