WWE News: Hulk Hogan To Return On ‘Monday Night Raw’ Next Week?
At one point in a WWE superstar’s career, there comes a time when he or she is always in the news. Guys like the Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Trish Stratus and CM Punk are perfect examples. When John Cena retires, he will receive the same treatment. If a news story comes out with any professional wrestler listed previously, the internet explodes with excitement and an ugly amount of predictions about their imminent return — this reminds me of somebody who just quit.
One man that is always in the wrestling spotlight, despite being retired for several years, is Hulk Hogan. There is an exception to the rule I mentioned, and that is if the WWE superstar purposely puts themselves in the news, that’s a completely differently scenario. For example, when Hogan called Stone Cold a constant b***h, that was just for publicity.
With the help of Hulk Hogan in the WWE’s infancy, they were able to become world giants in the professional wrestling industry. So much so that Hogan continues to provide the WWE with unlimited advertising and popularity. Monday Night Raw is in Kansas City next week and the WWE Universe may witness a legend grace the stage once again.
“According to a report by PWInsider.com, WWE Hall of Famers Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart will both be making an appearance on ‘Monday Night Raw’ on Oct. 20 at The Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.”
“There’s no word yet on what their roles will be during the broadcast.”
Hogan last appeared on Monday Night Raw to help kickstart their annual “Breast Cancer Awareness” promotion. He came out to publicize the Susan G. Komen project and the great cause it is. When people talk poorly about the WWE, they forget to realize all of the good they do in the world. With their work in Be A Star, Susan G. Komen and other campaigns, the WWE helps out more than most organizations.
This week however, the reason for Hogan coming back and is unknown. Along with Jimmy Hart, legendary manager, it looks like they will be promoting something. Since Brock Lesnar is on a hiatus with the WWE World Heavyweight championship, it could be to promote Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Then again, we do know that Hogan wants a retirement match at WrestleMania 31 so it could be for that too.
That raises a question: does anybody want to see Hulk Hogan wrestle one more time? Personally, I think he is better served as a correspondent and advisor in the WWE. Hogan was a legend during his prime, but that has passed. If he were to wrestle anybody, the obvious man is John Cena. A match with anybody else doesn’t make sense. Regardless, his appearance on Monday Night Raw will provide an update as to what he is doing there. It’s always a great thing to see the Hulkster back in the WWE.
