Tamra Barney Hopes To Ditch Ex: ‘RHOC’ Star Wants Full Custody Of Kids?
Tamra Barney is still celebrating a major win after the judge in her custody hearing ruled in her favor last week. The Real Housewives of Orange County star did not lose custody of two of her children, and will continue to split custody with her ex, Simon Barney. However, Tamra might have plans to completely ditch her ex-husband, and obtain full custody of their kids. According to Radar Online, Tamra is going to tell the judge that Simon committed “child abuse” by keeping the couple’s oldest daughter away from her mom.
“It’s parental alienation that’s going on,” Barney said. She added that she will address her alienation claims soon. “[It] will be brought up in December, when Sydney goes to therapy,” Barney explained.
Tamra Barney is said to be thrilled that the custody battle is over, and that she came out on top. However, as previously reported by The Inquisitr, Simon was also happy with the outcome. Although he apparently wanted full custody of the kids because he felt as though Tamra was an unfit parent, he thinks he did the right thing, and that everything is going to shake out just fine.
“I hope that by bringing this court action it will force her to, hopefully, become a better mother. I was glad to hear from the judge that if nothing changes, the judge is inclined to give me full custody of Sidney in the very near future. Once I have physical custody of Sidney, I look forward to helping her foster a relationship with her mother,” Simon said.
Tamra Barney does not have a relationship with her daughter Sidney, but she is supposed to be going to therapy with her to try and work things out. While Simon has said that he wants Sidney to have a relationship with her mom, Tamra believes that Simon has been instrumental in keeping the two apart.
According to MStarz, Simon feels that he has done his best to keep his kids happy… but could this actually bite him in the tail?
“Since Sidney has lived with me full-time, she has been much happier, she has had less anxiety, and she seems to be adapting positively to the change. Sidney has shown great progress in school both socially and academically. She is much happier, and I have noticed a significant difference in Sidney’s growth and mood,” Simon said in court documents.
Do you think Simon should be encouraging Sidney to have a relationship with her mom? Will Tamra have a good case against Simon when they go back to court later this year?
