Is Danielle Staub Returning To ‘RHONJ?’
Could Danielle Staub be heading back to The Real Housewives of New Jersey for season seven? According to one source, it’s possible.
Although Bravo hasn’t revealed any such plans, Staub’s would-be co-stars are reportedly on board with her return. In an interview with Radar Online, a source spoke out, claiming both Teresa Giudice and Dina Manzo would like to see Staub on season seven.
Cohen “asked Dina and Teresa, the only remaining original cast members, which housewife they would most like to return to the franchise,” the source said. “Teresa and Dina’s answer was shocking, as both said they would like Danielle back on the show!”
When Manzo left the show, it was widely reported she did so because of Danielle Staub. During the first two seasons of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Staub was known as a troublemaker and was often involved in drama on set. During the season one finale, Staub and Giudice engaged in a heated debate, which resulted in Giudice flipping a table and calling Staub a “prostitution wh**e.”
Despite their prior issues with Danielle Staub, Giudice and Manzo are ready for her to come back and discussed the issue at Sunday’s taping of The Real Housewives of New Jersey season six reunion special.
“Dina is feuding with her sister Caroline Manzo and sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita, and Teresa is Dina’s friend, so she’s scared to go against her and is supporting her idea to bring Danielle back,” the source explained. “In addition, Dina knows that Danielle tortured Jacqueline behind the scenes, and if she were to make a return to the show, Danielle could make Jacqueline’s life a living hell.”
After the exits of Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita following season five, Bravo brought three new wives to the cast. However, Amber Marchese, Teresa Aprea, and Nicole Napolitano failed to deliver the ratings Bravo was hoping for and they eventually brought Laurita back in an effort to get the series back on track. Once they did, ratings went up and, judging by this report, the network may feel that they are onto something when it comes to bringing back the series’ former stars.
After appearing on The Real Housewives of New Jersey for two seasons, Danielle Staub competed in Famous Food, a reality series surrounding a Los Angeles restaurant.
Earlier this month, The Inquisitr reported Danielle Staub had been relieved of her nearly $2 million IRS debt.
