Gwyneth Paltrow Lavishes Praise For ‘Handsome’ Barack Obama, Wants President To Have All The Power He Needs!
The last couple of years has been filled with both peaks and valleys for Gwyneth Paltrow. The Inquisitr has showcased the dynamic instability of Paltrow’s popularity. Some news on the upside of her career includes rumors of her being in a band with Robert Downey Jr. and starring in the current season of American Horror Story. On the other end, Paltrow has taken verbal jabs by Martha Stewart and has personal issues with Jennifer Lawrence. So despite not being the center of attention as of late, Gwyneth Paltrow is still prominent enough within the Hollywood scene and media.
Recently, Gwyneth Paltrow was a speaker at the Democratic National Committee fundraiser. This should be expected because Paltrow is a staunch liberal, but what was interesting about her speech is it consisted of a lot of lavish praising of our president, Barack Obama. One could even say that Paltrow was probably “flirting” with the big man in the White House.
According to both ABC News and Entertainmentwise, Gwyneth Paltrow gave Barack Obama the kind of fawning praise that would make even the first lady Michelle Obama jealous. At one point, Paltrow’s speaking was losing composure, as she started to use a lot of “in between” or “filler” words (um, uh, et cetera). Paltrow ultimately blamed Obama’s for her speech foibles.
“You’re so handsome that I can’t speak properly.”
Such high praise is contrasting to the fact that the majority of Americans — about 52 percent — see Barack Obama as a failure, according to the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll. His ratings for strong leadership also dropped to an all-time low. Still, that wouldn’t stop Gwyneth Paltrow from buttering up the president.
“I’m one of your biggest fans, if not the biggest. The life that you brought to this country and the passion will historically be the most looked at and scrutinized presidencies of all time.”
As for the fundraiser, the proceeds benefited the Democratic National Committee. It consisted of 200 guests at a $1,000 per person reception, and 50 attendees at a $15,000 per person dinner. The event was also closed to coverage by press cameras, and only Pool reporters were allowed to hear Obama’s remarks to provide quotes for reports.
However, there is one statement by Gwyneth Paltrow that is quite frightening, depending on who you are, and only the Republican sites are reporting on it. The Blaze reported all the info provided above, but also had this little tidbit to report as well. Apparently, Paltrow said this in her speech.
“It would be wonderful if we were able to give the man [Barack Obama] all of the power that he needs to pass the things that he needs to pass.”
That quote alone might express that Gwyneth Paltrow doesn’t approves of the government’s checks and balances system. Nevertheless, Barack Obama seemed to admire her words, as evidenced by his first sentence right before making his speech.
“I’m taking her to the next event.”
