Sadie Robertson Defends ‘Duck Dynasty’s’ Phil Robertson On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Sadie Robertson may be on Dancing With The Stars in order to dance, but she also has a lot to say about her family. She also specifically addressed the Duck Dynasty controversy over Phil Robertson’s comments about homosexuality and other political matters.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, some people are accusing Sadie Robertson of being a brat on DWTS. There’s also been a good bit of quacking based upon Sadie’s “duck’s gone wild” costume that has critics highlighting her “sexy duck” outfit.

While everyone remembers the infamous GQ interview from last year, Phil Robertson has produced even more controversial remarks in recent times, including speaking out on voter responsibility and abortion. Robertson claimed that Americans were responsible for the state of the nation due to voter turnout and argued that voters should never vote for a “dude or woman” who is “for ripping human fetuses out of their mother’s womb.” The Duck Dynasty patriarch turned even more heads when he called the AIDS virus a possible “penalty” for homosexuality and other “immoral conduct.”

Phil Robertson also recently claimed the best way to handle the ISIS terrorist group is to “convert or kill them,” although he did clarify this statement by saying that he would rather have a Bible study with ISIS terrorists than have them killed. This had some people criticizing the Duck Dynasty father, saying that the head of Duck Commander essentially had the same position as the Islamic State.

Due to her role on DWTS, Sadie Robertson has become famous in her own right and in a recent video she discussed the pitfalls of fame. Sadie believes that since Duck Dynasty is so popular, the media targeted her family.

“Everybody knows who you are and they’re looking for you to mess up,” Sadie said. “My grandpa said some things that upset some people and the press came after him. The thing is, no matter what he would have said we should have stuck by him, because he’s my grandpa. Yeah, he’s very opinionated, but he’s my family and family sticks together.”

Sadie almost made it quite clear that the Robertson family’s Christian faith is the driving force that helps sustain them even when they’re under pressure to submit to the world’s whims.

“My family would not be where we are without our faith. That’s what’s carried us this whole way,” she said. “You know, we put our faith in God and we like to share that with everybody. We’re going to be a family, we’re going to love each other — and we’re going to do what God says to do.”
