Porsha Williams Shocked Over ‘RHOA’ Demotion: Kandi Burruss Is Sad

Porsha Williams may have been the primary storyline last season on The Real Housewives of Atlanta because fans wanted to know exactly what happened between her and her then-husband, Kordell Stewart. Shortly after the reunion show was filmed, Kordell filed for divorce, leaving Porsha to pick up the pieces. Williams had plenty of things to say about the failed marriage, which made for an interesting season.

But this season, Porsha Williams was demoted, as covered by The Inquisitr. Sources say that there wasn’t enough material to really give her a role on the show. However, this was supposedly a big surprise for Porsha, who had been filming with the other ladies this summer. The news of her demotion came as a big shock to her.

According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report, Porsha Williams is now revealing that she had no idea that Bravo producers would cut down her role.

“After a long season of filming and giving my all, I was blindsided by the announcement from the network that I was demoted from ‘Housewife Status,'” Porsha Williams says, adding, “Unfortunately, I can only be PORSHA, and portraying anything else would not be genuine nor honest.”

It is uncertain whether Williams is referring to her co-stars, who may be drumming up drama to be on the show. Kenya Moore has been accused of doing so by NeNe Leakes on previous seasons. But Porsha will continue to shine in her own way. With a couple of singles on the way and new business ventures planned, she isn’t leaving the spotlight.

“It’s not goodbye, you will see me on the show throughout the season sharing and bonding with the other women,” Porsha continues, adding, “I promise to stay connected with my fans as I start an exciting new time in my life.”

But Porsha Williams isn’t the only housewife completely shocked by the news. Kandi Burruss had become good friends with Porsha, and the two had filmed together. Burruss was shocked to learn the news, claiming that she was probably the last person to know about it.

“I’m excited about the new season of #RHOA coming back on November 9th because it’s gonna be good!!! BUT I’m sad that Porsha isn’t on this pic with us,” Kandi revealed, adding, “Just got that news this morning… Wow… Why am I the last to know.”
