Phaedra Parks is dealing with some major behind-the-scenes drama on the set of The Real Housewives of Atlanta . As her husband, Apollo Nida, sits behind bars, the mother of two has been accused of being unfaithful.
In a sneak peek at the upcoming seventh season of the Bravo reality series, Parks’ co-star, Cynthia Bailey, accused her of cheating on Nida with an “African man named Chocolate.” While things between Parks and Nida are undoubtedly strained, Parks insists she never had an affair.
“[Phaedra Parks] has been a completely faithful wife. She doesn’t know any men named Chocolate,” Parks’ rep, Steve Honig, revealed in an Oct. 3 statement to Radar Online . He also joked, “I did hear she had her eyes on a guy named Pistachio but it didn’t work out because he was nuts.”
On The Real Housewives of Atlanta season seven, Phaedra Parks’ marriage to Nida will take center stage, and despite her denial, so will her alleged cheating. In addition to Bailey’s statement, Nida claimed his wife had been unfaithful, telling his friend, Peter Thomas, “She’s having an affair with some guy.” In another scene, Parks’ co-star, Kenya Moore, reportedly confronts her about the allegations and “fists start to fly.” Parks also gets into a fight with Nida with cameras rolling.
Regarding the upcoming season, a source told Radar , “This season of RHOA will be the most explosive yet. Producers couldn’t have scripted this stuff; it’s that good. Viewers are in for a lot of dramatic twists and turns!”
On Sept. 10, just hours before Apollo Nida was scheduled to turn himself into prison for crimes of identity theft and fraud, he reportedly stormed Phaedra Parks’ home in a “blind fury.”
“It was crazy. Phaedra had just got home from being away for a few days when all of a sudden Apollo stormed in,” an insider told Radar Online . “Apollo came out of nowhere and ran around the house like a lunatic.”
Although police eventually were called, Nida had fled the scene prior to their arrival and, a short time later, began serving his eight-year sentence at the FMC Lexington prison in Kentucky.
“It was pretty frightening,” the source added. “Phaedra was understandably terrified and shaken up by the ordeal.”
Earlier this week, it was reported Phaedra Parks hasn’t had any contact with her husband since he began serving his time.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta season seven premieres on Nov. 9 on Bravo.
