Miley Cyrus Calls Katy Perry a ‘Slut’ Then Regrets It

Miley Cyrus is not new to controversy involving questionable choices in vocabulary and over-the-top provocative action. Her latest is an Instagram post for #WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday) in which she posted a “Throwback Thursday” photo of her making out with pop star Katy Perry. The post has been removed, but was documented on E! Online before it disappeared.

The commentary for the photo read, “Wcw is this slut @katyperry /tbt (not on t) to that time we made out during my #bangerztour.”

The “make out” incident between Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry happened during Cyrus’ performance in Los Angeles in February. Miley was performing “Adore You” and bent down to give Perry a kiss, which was captured on a fan’s phone and went viral online. Miley Cyrus then made a comment to the crowd using a quote from a Katy song.

“I just kissed a girl and I really liked it a lot.”

The recent Instagram jab might have been reprisal for what Katy Perry said about Miley Cyrus in an interview with Sunrise after the “make out.” In that interview, Perry said awkward things about Miley and the way that the kiss went down, ending with “God knows where that tongue has been.”

Cambio seems to think otherwise, saying that the remarks Miley Cyrus made in her Instagram were a friendly “what’s up, slut?” — as a street greeting or “hello.” They then note that she’s deleted the picture and comment, wondering if perhaps she did realize it may look like reprisal for the Sunrise interview. Or perhaps someone just told her it was a bit inappropriate.

At the same time, Celebuzz calls Miley what she is in a simple chide, “Though stars like Emma Watson and Taylor Swift are trying to breathe new life into feminism by bringing light to the gender inequality that still plagues society today, Miley Cyrus is off somewhere on Instagram calling Katy Perry a ‘slut’ because LOLZ #WCW #TBT.”

Not to be slowed down, of course, Miley Cyrus then went on stage in Chile where she hugged a giant, inflatable penis. She then called herself a slut on Instagram with a photo of the stunt. Does that mean she just pulled a “what up, slut” on herself?
