ISIS Release Statement Urging Muslims To Kill American, French And Australian Nationals
The Islamic State, also known as ISIS, have posted a plea online urging Muslims to kill nationals from America, France and Australia, as well as other allies who have joined the coalition to defeat the terror network in Syria and Iraq.
The SITE monitoring website said on Monday that the chilling ISIS message included comments from Islamic State spokesman Abu Muhammad al-Adnani who said about the military intervention against ISIS, “It will be broken and defeated, just as all your previous campaigns were broken and defeated,” also urging followers to attack U.S., French, Canadian, Australian and other nationals.
According to a report in Sydney Morning Herald today this is the first time ISIS have officially called for their followers to attack civilians in the West, and Australia is singled out at least three times by al-Adnani.
He went on to extol the virtues of killing “disbelievers,” saying,
“If you can kill a disbelieving American or European – especially the spiteful and filthy French – or an Australian, or a Canadian, or any other disbeliever from the disbelievers waging war, including the citizens of the countries that entered into a coalition against the Islamic State, then rely upon Allah, and kill him in any manner or way however it may be. Do not ask for anyone’s advice and do not seek anyone’s verdict. Kill the disbeliever, whether he is civilian or military, for they have the same ruling. Both of them are disbelievers.
The 11-page statement went into chapter and verse about things like martyrdom, and the value of waging holy war on the West, who will apparently “face death with bare chests.”
A spokesperson for the Prime Minister of Australia Tony Abbott said today that, as far as the administration is concerned, the statement is authentic.
“Australian agencies regard the statement issued today by ISIL calling for attacks against members of the international coalition, including Australians, as genuine. ISIL will claim that our involvement in this international effort is the reason they are targeting us, but these people do not attack us for what we do, but for who we are and how we live.”
The ISIS statement also singles President Obama out, referring to him as a “mule of the Jews” and calling Secretary of State John Kerry an “uncircumcised old geezer.”
Continuing to speak of apocalyptic type end-of-days scenarios, the statement beseeches it followers,
“O soldiers of the Islamic State, be ready for the final campaign of the crusaders. Yes, by Allah’s will, it will be the final one. We will conquer your Rome, break your crosses, and enslave your women, by the permission of Allah, the Exalted. If we do not reach that time, then our children and grandchildren will reach it, and they will sell your sons as slaves at the slave market. O America, O allies of America, and O crusaders, know that the matter is more dangerous than you have imagined and greater than you have envisioned.”
Al-Adnani’s disturbing message was posted in an Arabic audio recording, together with transcripts in English, French and Hebrew. He also praised militants in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, calling on them to kill those fighting for President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
