Cheryl Burke Leaving ‘Dancing With The Stars’? Pro Says This Is ‘Probably’ Her Last Season

Is Cheryl Burke leaving Dancing With The Stars? It’s possible.

According to AOL, Burke recently said that she’s likely leaving the show after this season because she’s been doing it for ten years (she has danced on 18 of the 19 seasons), and she says that she is ready for a change.

“As of now, this is probably going to be my last season. After doing something for a decade, you know, I started when I was 20, I’m 30. I want to try new things, just see what’s out there.”

This season, Burke has been partnered up with actor Antonio Sabato Jr., so there is no question that she has a shot at winning the Mirror Ball Trophy. It would be a great way to end her run (a la Maksim Chmerkovskiy), but Cheryl has had some great success on the show.

Cheryl Burke has been in the finals seven times and in the semi-finals 10 times, according to ABC News. She has won the Mirror Ball Trophy twice over the past decade; once with Drew Lachey, and a second with Emmitt Smith (back to back).

Burke has also seen her fair share of tabloid talk. She has been criticized over the years for her weight. Being on television and in the public eye, Cheryl has been hounded for her “thicker figure” plenty of times. While it was not always easy, Cheryl found a way to deal with it.

“I’ve had some time to think about it all and I’ve found strength in just letting it go. I can’t let myself get hurt by it. I also can’t shut down and not post anything online. There are all different types of people out there who are going to say all kinds of things, online and in real life. The important thing is to know which ones to listen to.”

According to The Inquisitr, the whole cast was announced on Sept. 4. This season’s “stars” include Janel Parrish, Sadie Robertson, Alfonso Ribiero, Betsey Johnson, and Lolo Jones to name a few. Most of your favorite pros will be taking the floor tonight and each week that they make it through. Derek Hough, Mark Ballas, Karina Smirnoff, Sharna Burgess, and Peta Murgatroyd are just a few that will be giving Cheryl Burke a run for her money.
