Mysterious Streak Of Light Seen Over California Skies Leaves Laymen, Scientists Baffled
Two days after people across the West coast of the United States reported seeing a mysterious streak of light travelling across the morning skies, no one has been able to explain what it could have been. The mysterious streak of light was observed at around 6 am on Friday morning by various people in the Bay Area. There have been reports of people seeing the same streak of light in Oregon, as well as Nevada, according to a report by NBC News
While astronomers have started researching the source light, there has been no confirmed explanation for the phenomenon two days on. According to one of the eyewitnesses, the mysterious streak of light was definitely not an aircraft. He tells Claycord News And Talk;
“I am used to seeing planes early in the morning with lights, but this was different. This had something coming out of it, it wasn’t just the light. I could see it spraying something.”
And it was not just one person who affirmed that the object emitted something. Here is an eyewitness account of another person who also confirmed seeing the same streak of light, as told to WND.
“This morning when I was leaving for work, before I got into my car I noticed that there was some type of object in the air with a type of floodlight on, and white fog/smoke was billowing out of it – as if something was being sprayed into the air. I tried to take a photo with my iPhone but it didn’t come out. This was at 5:58 am – I live in Kirkwood – and the object appeared to be just over the area of Clayton Valley Shopping Center at Clayton/Kirker Pass … could this be fogging for mosquitoes? I was a bit concerned because the object was clearly spraying some substance into the air … with the floodlight on. Then the light went off, and I couldn’t see or hear the sounds from a plane or anything, it was very strange.”
Here is another account by an individual named Barry Formslag. This is what he told local TV Station KPIX-TV.
“About 6 a.m. this morning, I came out, I was walking down the driveway and I looked up at the sky and saw this little orange ball – above the Redwood trees. All of a sudden these lights just came down from that little orange ball.”
Several people tweeted about the mysterious streak of light.

While it is natural for laymen to be baffled by such a mysterious streak of light in the sky, this time even astronomers and seasoned weathermen seem to have no clue as to what it could have been. According to Autumn King, who works at the Chabot Space and Science Center in Oakland, they have no confirmation as to what the object could have been. King told the San Francisco Chronicle,
“It may be space junk, it may be a meteor, but we have no confirmation yet. We’re just kind of going off what we’re getting from viewers and e-mail and video.”
Bob Benjamin, who works as a National Weather Service Forecaster, is also baffled as to what the mysterious streak of light could have been.
“There’s, as far as I know, no meteorological phenomena associated with that,” he told the Chronicle.
To make things even more weird, the U.S. Air Force which conducts missile tests at the Vandenberg Air Force Base have said that there was no missile launch on Friday morning – the day this mysterious streak of light was seen.
The lack of a cohesive explanation to the reports of this mysterious streak of light has led to several theories being talked about already. Some people say it could have been an UFO, while some others have raised concerns over the lack of air security over the U.S. skies. In related news, a recent Inquisitr report had confirmed that California leads the United States when it comes to sheer number of UFO sightings being reported.
