The situation in Iraq and ISIS has been one of the biggest news stories to happen in the Middle East. How the Hamas is towards the Jews, ISIS is towards Christians, especially those who live in Iraq. Because of how the terrorist group views and treats Christians, many things have happened that are considered monumental for the country. Here on The Inquisitr , we reported how ISIS gave the ultimatum that Iraqi Christians should either convert, leave, or die. The majority of them went with the latter option in which the result is that for the first time in Iraq’s history, Mosul is void of Christians. Let’s not forget that ISIS are beheading Christian children too!
However, it should be reported that ISIS is just the radical element of Islam, and there are Muslims who are honorably peaceful to Christians. This is proven in numerous reports of an Iraqi Muslim seen crying on television for Iraqi Christians and what they have to endure with ISIS. The video can be observed below.
According to the Christian Post and Charisma News , an Nahi Mahdi, who is also a television host, lost his composure and broke down in tears when talking about displaced Iraqi Christians forced out by the tens of thousands because of ISIS. He then detailed his experiences with Christians in the following:
“I went to the Al-Marbad Market, near the city of Al-Zubier. There is an area there which is predominantly Christian. I swear, they never made us feel…they are our own flesh and blood.”
Mahdi would then explain that some of the Christians were heading to Sweden while others went to Germany. He also charged ISIS the audacity to carry out such attacks on their fellow countrymen by metaphorically explaining that Iraq is a rose while the Christians, Arabs, Kurds, Sabians, and Shabak people are the petals.
Another host, Abu Al-Hassanein Al Rub’l, added more insight about how Iraqi Christians are in the country when they were there by stating the following:
“The Christians have done nothing wrong. They haven’t hurt a soul. On the contrary, they are a peaceful people who love all sects. They are honorable people with high moral values. We stand one hundred percent in solidarity with them.”
For many Christians, it was good to see that Muslims – a religious group who’ve been stereotyped for killing Jews and Christians and other “infidels” – show love and support for their Iraqi Christian brothers and sisters. However, we want to know what you think. Do you believe that the people should have rallied against ISIS or were the Iraqi Christians just taking the smart way out in avoidance of death?
