Teresa Giudice Accused Of Giving Daughter ‘Fake’ Heirloom Ahead Of Court Date
Teresa Giudice has been accused of giving her daughter, Gia, a fake family heirloom. According to Radar Online, the diamond ring that Teresa and her husband, Joe Giudice, presented to their oldest daughter on a recent episode of The Real Housewives Of New Jersey did not belong to Teresa’s mother despite what the couple said on television. A source says that Teresa was helping the jeweler by way of a shout out on TV — and it sounds like Teresa took the ring back after the scene was filmed.
“The diamond ring had been given to Teresa about a year ago by a jeweler in New Jersey. Teresa wanted to give Gia the ring on camera to give publicity to the jeweler. Teresa’s mother never had the ring for any extended period of time. It was all done for the show, and it’s now back in Teresa’s possession.”
Teresa Giudice told Gia that the ring had once belonged to her grandmother. According to Enstarz, the ring was said to be passed down three generations before being presented to Gia.
Teresa has also been accused of asking her friends for money, despite raking in $200,000 a year. Sources say that Teresa has been crying poor to the people that she knows, trying to get money saved up — perhaps so that her kids will be taken care of if she and Joe end up going to prison. According to Enstarz, Teresa is also going to have to pay quite a hefty amount to her lawyers, and fines that she is forced to pay could total over $250,000.
Of course it’s unknown how much money Joe and Teresa have in the bank, or if they have been putting money aside in order to pay their legal bills. If the two of them don’t go to jail, life will likely be very different for them anyway. The amount of money that they are going to need, especially for restitution, will be more than either of them can make in a year or two.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Teresa is doing okay in the days leading up to her hearing. Her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga has said that Teresa is strong and that “she’s good” right now. Teresa has just been enjoying the summer with her kids on the beach, really spending every moment she can with them, just in case those good times come to an end in a few weeks.
Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe will be in court next month to learn their fate.
