Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD will have online co-op, runs at 60 FPS
The HD remastered port of Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker, part of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, will have online co-op over PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, series creator Hideo Kojima revealed today.
The co-op mode, dubbed CO-OPS, will allow for up to four players to join up in an online game on their platform of choice. It isn’t immediately clear whether this means campaign co-op or some all-new, tailor-made mode, but we’ll likely hear more about that come TGS next week.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD is joined alongside HD remakes of Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence.
For the PlayStation 3 version, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will include a ‘transfarring’ feature that allows you to transfer your PSP save of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker over onto your PlayStation 3.
In addition to the ‘transfarring’ feature or PSP/PS3 owners and the enhanced visuals, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD will have dual analogue support, which is a first for the game – all running at a silky smooth 60 FPS, even in co-op.
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this November.
