Pit Bull Baby Meets Human Baby, Cuddling Ensues [Video]

Pit bull pups and human pups. The inseparable friendship that, in this case, started at birth. A pit bull, or known known by its proper name “Staffordshire Terrier,” are often referred to as “nanny dog.” Though the exact origin of this title does not seem concrete, there are many old pit bull photos and history throughout the 1800s to suggest this may be the case. It has also been noted that loyalty is another common pit bull trait. Unfortunately, with the present state of news surrounding pit bulls, the title seems satirical. As the show Dragnet says, “Ladies and Gentleman, the story you are about to hear is true…” The names of the pit bull and newborn have not been changed because the innocent need not be protected from this cute video:

Meet Eisleigh Hodges and her pit bull, Clyde. Their mother, Brandi Leigh Hodges, was in the middle of a typical day. The furry (Clyde the Pit bull) and human (Eisleigh the newborn) friends are 2 weeks apart — nine weeks and 11 weeks, respectively. She was taping her newborn baby, when her pit bull chose to formally meet his sibling. As the video details, Brandi Leigh’s pit bull made his tiny leap into the the baby carriage and snuggled next to the newborn baby. The pit bull and newborn baby video is not the only evidence of the new relationship. Eisleigh’s mother, Brandi Hodges, has an Instagram full of photos like these:

The video reached a Fox affiliated news WGHP. In an interview with the Pit pull and newborn celebrity’s mother, she explained:

“Clyde was connected to Eisleigh as soon as we picked him up. Surely he wasn’t aware what was happening to him. He climbed into Eisleigh’s car seat and snuggled with her the whole way home. It seemed very comforting to him. To both of them really… it was love at first sight, oddly enough!”

The viral pit bull and newborn baby video have been shared and viewed by thousands of people in less than a day. The explanation for this adorable union that has made both pit bull and newborn baby celebrities, is explained to WGHP by the pit bull and newborn baby’s mother:

“My fiance and I are both die hard animal lovers and adore Pit bulls. We’ve always said we would get a puppy when we have a baby so they can grow up together and have a special bond. We never knew it would be as sweet as this.”

In a day and age when all news seems to be bad, this pit bull and newborn baby have shown that good news still has weight and can become viral just as easy as violence and murder. No pit bulls or newborns were injured in the making of this hit video.
