[NSFW] Instant Karmic Retribution As Man Robs Woman And Gets Hit By A Bus, But That’s Only Half Of The Story
Karma has a way of serving justice to the people who commit crimes and seem to get away with it. Typically Karmic retributions are many-a-times delayed and occur at completely different locations and often have nothing to do with the actual incident that leads to this punishment, but this case is clearly different.
A robber that attempted to steal a woman’s purse was apparently served instant justice as immediately after, he was hit by a bus. A CCTV camera in Colombia captured a brazen midday mugging at a Bogota bus station, the U.K. Telegraph reports, but that’s only one of the many aspects of a pretty shocking video. Viewer discretion is strongly advised, though the end result is surprisingly mild.
The video-grab shows a robber walking calmly, apparently trying to spot his next victim. He notices a woman with an expensive and lunges for the same. The apparent thief struggles with the female traveler for her phone, who in turn puts up quite a struggle, but the man’s strength is much more than what she can bear. After successfully snatching the phone, the robber makes a run for it via a single exit, only to be hit instantly by an approaching bus.
While the imagery is quite graphic, police report that the man miraculously sustained only minor injuries despite being hit by a moving bus, reported CBS Local. But what is even more surprising is that the video footage shows something that is incredible.
The woman who the robber robbed is among the people to quickly respond to the apparent tragedy and she is the one who pulls him out from under bus. Maybe she wanted to retrieve her phone, but her actions are nothing short of heroic.
Police records haven’t released the identities of the victim or the robber, but did confirm that the thief was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and upon being treated for minor lacerations, was promptly put under arrest.
The crime and its instant punishment happened over a year ago, but the video is doing the rounds of interwebs now and was shot in Bogota, Colombia. The video was collected by police for evidence & the would-be criminal was recently sentenced for multiple similar crimes. Netizens are lauding it as a fitting reminder that Karma is alive and well. Moreover, comments include, “As if the moral implications and the threat of jail weren’t enough, here is another reason not to rob people.” Looking at the event it is indeed hard not to imagine that Karma didn’t have anything to do with the robber being instantly served justice.
