Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting Mourns Loss Of Actor James Garner
Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting is mourning the loss of her dear friend, James Garner, this weekend. The Big Bang Theory actress worked with Garner on the show 8 Simple Rules. Cuoco-Sweeting played Bridget Hennessy, the granddaughter of James Garner’s character. The show ran from 2002 to 2005, which was certainly more than enough time for the two actors to become close. According to TMZ, the body of the 86-year-old actor was found by paramedics on Saturday night at his home in Los Angeles. He reportedly died of natural causes.
Still lovingly referring to Garner as “gramps” of “grandpa Jim,” it’s clear to see that Kaley had a strong bond with James. It is unknown how frequently she was in contact with him, but it is obvious that she will miss him a great deal.
Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting is fortunate to have known such a great person. So many people have so many wonderful things to say about James Garner, and he was really loved by his family, friends, colleagues, and fans. Kaley seems to cherish her co-stars on every show that she works on — she always seems so grateful to have a job and to be a part of something amazing. Getting to know other people that you work with can be both fun and daunting — but Kaley has been lucky enough to call most (if not all) of her colleagues “friends.” This was no different with Garner on 8 Simple Rules.
Kaley knows what it means to love someone and it is obvious that this loss is very hard for her:
“Well I woke up with a broken heart today. The world has lost a legend. James Garner was a gift to our business and an example of honesty and pure class. It was an honor to have worked beside him and receive his bear hugs every day. I love you gramps.”
In other Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting news, there has been some talk that the actress could walk away from The Big Bang Theory. According to The Inquisitr, the actress and her colleagues have been in contract negotiations with the network for weeks. While Kaley is supposedly asking for $1 million per episode, it does not sound like she is ready to leave this amazing gig. The show has truly helped shape her career, and everyone really loves Penny — so Kaley likely would not throw all of that away over money… would she?
