Hillary Duff Pregnant, Expecting First Child With Hubby Mike Comrie

Hillary Duff and husband of one year Mike Comrie announced on the singer/actresses official website on Sunday that they are expecting their first child.

In a one year anniversary post Duff, 23, wrote that time has flown by with her Pittsburgh Penguins hockey playing husband.

She wrote:

“We also want to share the exciting news that… BABY MAKES THREE!!! We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives.”

The news comes just after Duff recently told Access Hollywood that she felt too young to have children at this time, revealing:

“We talk about it. Yes, we’re excited to do that, but I think I want to work a little more. I’m tossing around the idea of making another record… We want it, and we’re excited for it but think it can wait a while longer… He is supportive of me. We both are excited to do that, but he knows I’m still young.”

Duff and Comrie wed on August 14, 2010. Hillary Duff for those unfamiliar with her work was the star of Disney Channel’s hit series Lizzie McGuire. Duff later when on to guest star in several series including Ghost Whisperer, Law Order: SVU and most recently Gossip Girl where she played Olivia Burke in six episodes of the show, she also has several movie credits to her name and continues to record and perform music under the Disney Records moniker.

Congratulations to the happy couple, sometimes the best surprises are the ones we didn’t expect until they happen.
