Jay Z Reportedly Agrees To Therapy To Save Failing Marriage To Beyonce

Jay Z is reportedly going all out to save his crumbling marriage to Beyonce Knowles, agreeing to start therapy and cutting off contact with friend Rachel Roy.

The rapper has been at the center at a number of recent controversies, including a fight with Solange Knowles after the Met Gala last month that was reportedly sparked by Jay Z’s flirting with Roy.

But now in an effort to keep Beyonce from leaving him, Jay Z has started marriage counseling. A source told Star Magazine that the couple’s friend, Gwyneth Paltrow, hooked them up with the therapist she and husband Chris Martin are using. Martin and Paltrow had originally announced they were splitting up (or consciously uncoupling), but this month reunited.

It appears to be more than just lip service from Jay Z. The rapper reportedly cut off all contact with Rachel Roy, telling her they cannot meet anymore and even deleting her number from his phone.

Roy had reportedly been sore spot between Jay Z and Beyonce. When the couple skipped the Florence wedding of pal Kanye West, sources said it was Roy’s presence that prompted the couple to stay home in the Hamptons.

The move to enter counseling comes after reports that Jay Z has been carrying on with a number of affairs. For months he was plagued with rumors of hook-ups with Rihanna and Rita Ora, reports that Ora vehemently denied.

Earlier this month a new source claimed that Jay Z has been hooking up with R&B singer Mya for years.

The source told MediaTakeOut:

“When people talk about Jay-Z and his mistresses, they often forget about a mainstay who has been there forever. She is the person he calls when he needs to be discreet and thinking about old times. She is that very short named R&B singer who hasn’t had a hit in awhile and doesn’t really even act or record any longer. She basically lives off the generosity of Jay-Z and a couple of other guys. She peaked at A-.”

While they have been facing divorce rumors, publicly Jay Z and Beyonce have been putting on a good face. At their recent “On The Run” tour together, Jay Z and Beyonce for the first time shared pictures and video from their wedding, which was kept secret from the public at the time.
