A shark attack can be quite a scary ordeal, especially if you run into a great white shark or a bull shark while out in the surf. But many of the top 10 shark attack videos involve people who willingly took a dive to swim with fearsome sea creatures.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, great white sharks like the so-called “Joan Of Shark” are tagged with a new type of satellite-based tracking system that attempts to give an early warning to unwary beachgoers. But typically, this tagging system is limited to the largest of the ocean monsters so it’s probably the smaller sharks that swimmers have to be more worried about.

For example, one 29-year-old woman recounts how she fell into a canal, only to have a bull shark attack her:

‘(There was) so much blood, the outfit I was wearing was completely covered.’I had socks on and they were completely red. It looked like something out of a horror movie.’Ever survived a shark attack? I have but my phone didn’t!”
