Morrissey Attacked by Dog, Will Continue Touring
Morrissey, the outspoken English singer who rose to prominence in the 1980s as the vocalist of The Smiths, is going through a rough patch of life.
In addition to not being able to find a record label willing to sign him, the 52-year-old iconic songwriter was recently attacked by a vicious pooch following a performance last week at the Hop Farm Musical Festival in England.
True To You, a fan website which Morrissey often uses as his online mouthpiece, released the following post:
“Morrissey sustained hand and arm injuries recently after being attacked by a dog in England. Morrissey has attended hospital in Malmo (Sweden) where x-rays reveal a fractured index finger on his right hand. The cracked bone is at the tip of the finger.”
Fortunately for his fans, the injury will not affect his ongoing European tour, the next performance being slated to go down July 13th at the Voxhall in Denmark.
