Teyana Taylor: Brandon Jennings Took My Virginity, Dumped Me For My Best Friend

Teyana Taylor feels like she’s been burned by Brandon Jennings.

The recording artist and actress seemed to be headed toward marriage with Jennings, the NBA star, but the two suddenly split. Brandon ended up with LaShontae Heckard, rapper Nelly’s ex-girlfriend and a onetime friend of Taylor herself.

Now Teyana has opened up about the relationship, telling The Breakfast Club Morning Show that she’s upset Tae acted like her friend only to run off with her fiance. The wide-ranging interview hit on a number of other topics, including the story of how Teyana lost her virginity to Brandon.

Teyana Taylor said things seemed to be going well with Brandon Jennings, and the two were actually engaged.

“Only Brandon and I know the personal things we had going on in our relationship,” Teyana said. “So if you want to downplay what we had to build a platform for your current relationship, that’s your business. That’s none of my business. Because the world knows, I know and Brandon knows that we were engaged and that was very public. We were engaged at the Madea movie premiere. But if you forgot then I forgot that too. I’m fine with that!”

Teyana shared that she actually lost her virginity to Brandon, and hasn’t slept with anyone else since they split.

Taylor added that said she spoke to Brandon three days before he went public with LaShontae, flying out to Houston to see him play against the Rockets.

Though she tries to keep the situation in perspective, Teyana said she doesn’t plan on celebrating the new couple.

“I’m not a hater. I’m happy,” she said. “But when I feel like things are being made up about me and Tae is behind it, now I gotta start stating facts. Like how could we be friends if you’re engaged to my ex-fiancé? Like, I’m not going to that wedding. There is no friendship!”

Teyana Taylor is no stranger to show business drama. Last year she and Rihanna got into a brutal Twitter feud that started with Rihanna making fun of a song Taylor uploaded and ended with insults being exchanged between the two. In Thursday’s interview, Taylor said she and Rihanna used to be friends, but “some things just don’t work.”
