Avril Lavigne Meet And Greet Results In A Few Truly Uncomfortable Photos
Avril Lavigne clearly isn’t having a very good month.
If the Canadian singer was hoping to have a fantastic summer, then she may need to head back to the proverbial drawing board. Not only has Lavigne faced a considerable amount of backlash for her “Hello Kitty” music video, she’s also had to contend with rumors that her marriage to Chad Kroeger is currently in turmoil. In other words, life isn’t too grand for Avril right now.
Alter the Press reports that Avril Lavigne fans recently paid upwards of $400 for a chance to meet the pop princess. In addition to getting a little face time with the singer, they also posed for a quick photograph. Judging from the pics below, Lavigne wasn’t exactly thrilled about the experience.

According to the folks at Gawker, Avril Lavigne fans had a few rules they had to follow after coughing up their hard-earned cash. Security guards reportedly instructed the people you see in the photographs not to touch or hug the singer. In short: Hand over the cash, pose, and get lost.
Not surprisingly, these photos of Lavigne and her fans have become something of a viral sensation. The images are getting passed around all over Twitter, which is sure to bring Avril even more negative press. In fact, people are already condemning the singer for putting together such an awkward meet and greet session.
“Whoever Avril Lavigne’s publicist is should be fired. With ‘Hello Kitty’ and then this meet and greet it’s just making her look awful,” one person tweeted.
Another individual wrote, “Apparently Brazilian fans weren’t allowed to touch Avril Lavigne at a meet and greet. What’s most shocking is the news that she has fans.”
It goes without saying that Avril Lavigne is currently on-track to have a pretty lousy summer. Unless something remarkably positive happens in the next few weeks, people will spend a lot of time making fun of her “Hello Kitty” music video and this Brazilian meet and greet fiasco.
