Blondie Bennet is 38 years-old and has one dream in life: to become a human Barbie doll. She is not the first with the vision of transforming into the busty plastic doll played with by little girls around the world. What separates this life size Barbie is her desire to become totally brainless through the practice of hypnotherapy.
It is not uncommon for women to have botox injections , breast implants, and facial reconstructive surgeries in order to “enhance” their appearance. Blondie Bennet was just one of many women attempting to make herself more pleasing to men. But the decision to actually diminish her mental capabilities sets her apart.
Blondie is from California and has sessions three to four times a week so she can “think” like a human Barbie. This requires her to focus on things that make her happy, like money, shopping, and her look. Bennett told the Daily Mail , “She has the best life. All she does is shop and make herself look pretty — she doesn’t worry about anything.”
The obsession with turning into Barbie began at a young age. Bennett played with the dolls like many young girls do. Eventually the playing turned into a fantasy that she really wanted to live. She began dressing in Barbie inspired outfits and doing promotions at toy stores. Once she got a taste of the “good life”, she was hooked. Although her friends were embarrassed by her, she tried to live a double life.
“My friends hated the attention I got from guys because of how I dressed. The told me to tone it down when I went out with them.”
At 30 she decided to fully take on the persona of a human Barbie doll and 18 months ago she legally changed her name to Blondie Bennett. Her breast size is now a JJ and she is no longer employed. Instead, men pay her to have surgeries, send them pictures, and watch her videos on Twitter .
Barbie, manufactured by Mattel, has often come under heavy criticism for the image they portray to young girls about what it means to be a woman. Although they have not said anything about Blondie Bennett’s desire to become a full-time Barbie, it certainly does not help their case.
The real question surrounding Blondie Bennett’s transformation is, “does the hypnotherapy work?” The method is not an exact science and would be difficult to measure. But according to the human Barbie, “I’ve had 20 session and I’m already starting to feel ditzy and confused all the time.” So there you go.
